Adventures in the warehouse to continue.
In the tradition of "E pays Laphroaig to do manual labor", he had the rare privilege of being allowed to open one of the casks. I attempted to capture this in an action shot on my phone, with middling results.

Of course, throughout the entire process we were encouraged to sample as much as we wanted from "our" casks. We had to pick between a 1998, 2002 and 2005. I really wanted the 2002 to be my favorite, since that was the year that I graduated high school, and it seemed like it would have some sort of significance. But, in reality, the 1998 and 2005 just tasted better. So I bottled one and E bottled the other (he had paid for half of my tour to have the privilege of taking custody of my tiny bottle of whisky), we wrapped them up in their super special Laphroaig gift boxes, and made our way, well saturated with whisky, to the gift shop.
We proceeded to spend more money than we really had any business to, especially considering that we were walking the mile home and it was getting increasingly rainy. We trudged out the driveway with our bounty. E was obviously reluctant to leave.
